About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Transportation Engineer (PE) for our Pittsfield, IL location to lead the design and delivery of transportation projects across the region. The ideal candidate has demonstrated experience with IDOT standards and a strong command of MicroStation and Bentley Civil products.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design of roadway, highway, and transportation infrastructure projects from concept to construction.
- Prepare plans, specifications, cost estimates, and technical reports in compliance with IDOT or other DOT guidelines.
- Mentor and supervise junior engineering staff and CAD designers.
- Interface with clients, stakeholders, and agency representatives throughout the project lifecycle.
- Utilize MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, and other Bentley products for design and production.
- Support or lead coordination efforts for permitting, utility coordination, and public involvement as needed.
- Ensure all deliverables meet internal and client quality standards and deadlines.
Qualifications
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Illinois.
- 5 years of experience in transportation engineering, preferably with IDOT projects.
- Proficiency with MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, and related Bentley tools.
- Strong knowledge of state and federal design standards, manuals, and guidelines.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field (BSCE required).
Compensation
- This position offers a salary range of $90,000–$120,000 per year, along with comprehensive health benefits, PTO, and holiday pay.
