We’re growing and seeking a Cabinet Designer who is passionate about luxury residential design, values teamwork, and thrives in a detail-driven environment. This is a unique opportunity to help shape the aesthetic and functionality of high-end spaces in some of the Triangle’s most beautiful homes.
Position Summary
As our Cabinet Designer, you will play a central role in crafting functional and beautiful custom cabinetry solutions for luxury kitchen and bath projects. You’ll collaborate closely with our clients, designers, and build teams to create designs that elevate each space—merging premium materials, smart storage solutions, and timeless style. As the lead designer in this area, your work will directly shape the heart of our clients' homes.
Key Responsibilities
- Design custom cabinetry for kitchens, bathrooms, built-ins, and specialty spaces, with a focus on luxury remodels
- Collaborate with clients and project teams to understand design goals, preferences, and lifestyle needs
- Create detailed design drawings, 3D renderings, and material specifications using 2020 Design and Chief Architect.
- Make site visits for accurate field measurements and design validation
- Coordinate with architectural draftsmen, production, and installation teams to ensure accurate execution
- Recommend finishes, materials, hardware, and layouts that align with both function and CQC Home’s elevated design standards
- Manage revisions and maintain project documentation throughout the design and build process
- Stay current with design trends, materials, and innovations in luxury cabinetry and millwork
What You Bring
- 3 years of experience designing cabinetry for luxury residential spaces, especially kitchens and baths
- Experience with home renovations or design-build operations.
- **Proficiency in design software such as 2020 Design and Chief Architect.
- Strong portfolio showcasing high-end cabinetry or millwork design (example of work will be required).
- Deep understanding of cabinet construction, materials, and hardware
- Excellent communication and client interaction skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently while working collaboratively with a team
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of local building codes and ADA compliance
- Background in interior design or architecture
