We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Systems Administrator to join our growing team. This role will play a crucial part in managing and optimizing our IT infrastructure while overseeing the administration of Linux (Alma) and Windows systems to ensure overall system reliability, security, and efficiency.
Position Overview :
We are looking for a skilled Systems Administrator with at least 5 years of experience in Linux administration and strong expertise in system management. While Kubernetes administration using Rancher is a key aspect of this role, the primary responsibilities will focus on traditional system administration, ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of both Linux (Alma) and Windows environments. The role will involve managing system resources, automating administrative tasks, and supporting business-critical applications. The schedule is flexible; however, there may be some evening and weekend work when deploying production software.
Key Responsibilities :
- Administer Kubernetes clusters using Rancher as part of overall IT infrastructure management.
- Deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot containerized applications in Kubernetes environments.
- Administer and maintain Linux (Alma) and Windows systems, ensuring system updates, security patches, and performance tuning.
- Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and problem resolution for system-related issues.
- Manage system configurations, monitor resource utilization, and ensure high availability.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and routine administrative tasks using tools such as Ansible, PowerShell, or Bash scripting.
- Support virtualized infrastructure using Hyper-V.
- Monitor system health and performance using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, CheckMK, or similar.
- Maintain and document system configurations, policies, and troubleshooting guides.
