Job Summary
A Foreman will manage and lead all day-to-day crew assignments on the pavement construction sites, manage job specifications, and work closely with project managers, project engineers, and all other applicable stakeholders on the project. This role will involve supervising crew work to ensure productivity, efficiency, quality, safety, and effectiveness in a fast-paced environment. The Foreman will also oversee crew training and be the main point of contact for the crew when a Foreman has stepped away or is not present. The Crew Leader will work closely with Foreman’s and Project Managers to ensure work is done promptly and correctly.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES [TRAVEL, SUPERVISORY EXPECTATION, ETC.]
- Review plans and blueprints and consult with engineers and project managers on any concerns
- Complete daily reports and upload into DropBox
- Lead and manage crew members and assign tasks based on project requirements and the skill level of crew members
- Oversee daily construction activities and ensure projects are completed based on specifications and timelines
- Monitor all work quality by monitoring all aspects of the project throughout each day and inspecting completed tasks
- Always enforce safety protocols and procedures
- Conduct safety briefings and ensure proper personal protective equipment (PPE) is being used
- Report any equipment issues and coordinate maintenance needs
- Identify and address any project issues or challenges that arise and work collaboratively with crew members to find solutions
- Provide new crew members with effective and thorough training on all pavement construction trades we perform
- Maintain clear and concise communication with Project Managers and Foreman and provide project updates when necessary
- Keep a record of daily work completed, issues, or any safety incidents
- All other tasks and duties as assigned
- Knowledge of pavement construction industry processes and standards
- Communication, active listening and speaking skills

- Ability to adapt and be flexible
- Ability to effectively lead people and manage job sites
- Minimum of 2-3 years experience in pavement construction
- Proven experience leading and training entry-level crew members
- Required to learn business trades, equipment, regulations, traffic control, and all other aspects of pavement construction
- Driver’s License Required
- Travel required 100% of the time; will have the option to travel with other team members in company-owned vehicles from Bend, OR to project site [WA, CA, OR, ID, MT, NV, UT, WY, and other states]
- Work hours vary depending on the project and location of the project but 40 hours; typically, Sunday-Friday
- Seasonal, hourly work that is typically March-November but can vary depending on weather
- General labor work
- Paid weekly; base compensation paid if the job is not subject to prevailing wage
