Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled IT Specialist to join our dynamic team, at a field marketing organization in the health insurance industry. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in managing and improving our IT infrastructure, which is critical to our operational success and innovation.
Duties:
- Review diagnostics and assess the functionality and efficiency of systems
- Monitor security certificates and company compliance of requirements
- Offer technical support to company staff and troubleshoot computer problems
- Install and update company software and hardware as needed
- Anticipate and report the cost of replacing or updating computer items
- Working knowledge of relevant operating systems, software and programming
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Good organization, time management and prioritization
- Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, engineering, or relevant field.
- A least 3 years experience in database administration, development, and web design.
- Strong knowledge of computer systems, networks, and appropriate software applications.
- Familiarity with internet security and data privacy principles.
- Knowledge of IT principles, concepts, and methods; systems testing and evaluation principles, methods, and tools; IT security principles and methods; COTS products; Internet technologies; and/or emerging information technologies
- Good experience in HTML, MySQL, AWS (server and user access), PHP, CSS, JavaScript, Programming, Wordpress, DNS and familiarity with multiple web browsers and OS platforms, software procurement and updates, user management, and SAS administration (Google Suite, Zoom, UniVerse, etc.)
- Must possess strong analytical interpersonal, and communication skills and can work with minimal supervision in a team environment
- Experience in using graphic design applications would be an asset
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines
- Ability to work occasional off-hours duty to permit timely attention to mission-critical functions.
- Proficiency with VPN networks, firewalls, encryption, and other aspects of network security technologies
- Strong organizational and time management skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
