Come work at Calculated Research & Technology! We are a fast paced company seeking a skilled Network Technician with 5 years of experience to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in networking, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of network systems. The Senior Technician will be responsible for ensuring the stability and integrity of in-house voice, data, video, and wireless network services.
Key Responsibilities :
Install, configure, and maintain network hardware, software, and communication links.
Troubleshoot network-related issues and provide technical support to end-users.
Implement and manage network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware.
Collaborate with other IT staff to design and implement network solutions.
Document network configurations, changes, and maintenance activities.
Qualifications :
5 years of experience in networking.
Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network , Cisco CCNA, or equivalent.
Strong knowledge of network protocols, routing, and switching.
Proficiency in configuring and managing network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience with wireless networking and VoIP systems.
Familiarity with cloud networking and virtualized environments.
Experience with network automation tools and scripting.
Work Environment :
Office environment with occasional on-site work.
May require lifting and transporting of moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals.
Occasional after-hours or weekend work for network maintenance and upgrades.
