Key Responsibilities
- Project Budgeting:
- Develop and manage project budgets in collaboration with project managers and stakeholders.
- Monitor and track project expenses against approved budgets.
- Provide financial guidance to project teams to ensure cost-effective project execution.
- Financial Reporting:
- Prepare regular financial reports for project stakeholders, highlighting key financial metrics and variances from the budget.
- Communicate financial information to project managers and other relevant stakeholders.
- Cost Control:
- Implement and maintain effective cost control measures to prevent cost overruns.
- Analyze project costs and recommend cost-saving measures where possible.
- Billing and Invoicing:
- Generate and review project invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contractual agreements.
- Collaborate with billing teams to address client inquiries and discrepancies.
- Financial Analysis:
- Conduct financial analysis on project performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Provide recommendations for improving project financial outcomes.
- Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Work with auditors to facilitate project-related audits.
- Cash Flow Management:
- Monitor and manage project cash flows to ensure adequate funding for project activities.
- Forecast future cash flow requirements for ongoing projects.
- Project Closeout:
- Coordinate financial aspects of project closeout, including finalizing accounts, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Ensure proper documentation and archiving of project financial records.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in accounting or finance.
- Minimum two years of experience in accounting.
- Prefer candidates with any prior office/administrative experience or prior internships
- Perform work accurately and in a time-efficient manner, with strong attention to detail, organization, and follow through
- Strong computer skills, including solid skills in the Microsoft Office suite
- A basic understanding of accounting is preferred but not required
