Requirements:As a Floriculture Field Manager for Crabapple, your responsibilities include assisting the Horticulture Managers in the procurement of materials and managing the execution of installations following proposal budgets, as well as Assisting in the day-to-day activities of crew administration and during non-production seasons, assisting the Horticulture Managers in the estimating of additional projects, crew training and training preparation and the execution of flower maintenance programs. As a Floriculture Field Manager for Crabapple, your responsibilities include assisting the Horticulture Managers with the procurement of materials and overseeing the execution of installations according to proposal budgets. You will also aid in the daily administration of crew activities. During the non-production seasons, you will assist the Horticulture Managers in estimating additional projects, preparing for crew training, and implementing flower maintenance programs.
Duties:
- Installation Season (Spring/Fall)
- Pick up additional plant material that could not be delivered.
- Inventory the plant pen, report inventory to the Floriculture Manager and maintain organization in pen.
- Prepare and print job packets for crews based on the schedules created by the Floriculture Manager; this should be done once a week.
- Assist the Floriculture Manager in submitting purchase receipts.
- Review completed timesheets for accuracy and completeness, and log times accurately into Aspire.
- Lead an installation crew and meet the required installation goals.
- Train your current crew members as well as new crew members.
- Assist other flower crews in the morning, ensuring all materials are loaded for the day. As well as on the afternoon of arrival at the shop.
- Reviewing jobs with the foreman to ensure they understand the daily scope of work.
- Maintain home branch flowers, beds, materials storage, and plant pen area for floriculture.
- Communicated with crews throughout the day to ensure jobs were completed correctly and relayed that information to the Floral Manager.
- Have the foreman send completed job photos to you and then send them to the Floriculture Manager
- Lead Tuesday Morning Tailgate Safety Meetings
- Communicate with the Floriculture Manager daily.
Off Season (Between installation seasons)
- Assist the Horticultural manager in creating estimates. Duties will vary due to the requirements of the RFP.
- Monitor Irrigation functionality on properties by following up with flower crews to determine the root cause of poor-quality flowers.
- Led a flower maintenance crew to meet required maintenance goals.
- Track and log crew hours for color maintenance in Aspire.
- Attend all required safety, skill, and leadership development trainings.
- Professionally represent the company’s values, standards, and principles in all interactions.
- Support the company culture and employee environment.
- Maintaining a hazard-free loading area.

Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Annual color or equivalent experience in a similar field.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
Work Conditions:
- Flexible working hours, including occasional weekend work
- Work in an office and outdoor environment.
- Occasional travel to nurseries or job sites
