Join a fantastic Team and watch your career grow at Crabapple Landscapexperts! We need a Landscape Designer and Estimator to service the extended Metro Atlanta Area from our Alpharetta, GA, North Branch.

We remain one of Atlanta’s top five locally owned landscape firms.

The Landscape Designer and Estimator translate RFPs, architectural drawings, client requests, and other specifications into an accurate, reliable, and realistic project proposal. This requires research, site visits, and frequent communication with CRMs, Enhancement Operations Managers, and vendors. The resulting proposal has a direct impact on the entire construction process and, ultimately, the satisfaction of our customers.

Core Capabilities:

• Review and understand construction drawings, plans, and/or specifications
• Generate creative designs and specifications that meet the clients’ goals
• Manage assigned schedules and achieve internal and external bid deadlines
• Strong work ethic and ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Willingness and aptitude to innovate for continuous improvement
• Proficient with computer software and technology (Adobe, Auto Cad, Access, MS Office Suite)
• Exceptional math, grammar, and written communication skills
• Extensive knowledge of landscape construction techniques and materials

Job Duties:

• Read and understand construction drawings and specifications
• Create landscape designs utilizing CAD, ProLan,d and other design software.
• Question and clarify as necessary to understand project requirements
• Communicate effectively with clients, CRM’s, city planners,s and others related to projects
• Obtain vendor pricing for all required materials
• Obtain subcontractor pricing for all sub work
• Review all pricing for accuracy and compliance with project scope
• Researched the project location to assess accessibility, transportation, and any local ordinances that may impact the project scope, timeline, and materials
• Accurately forecast time and materials to complete the scope of work
• Include all appropriate time and materials within estimates to comply with local health, safety,y and environmental regulations and ordinances.
• Attend pre-bid site meetings
• Attend weekly Operations meetings to brief the construction team on estimate assumptions
• Attend all required safety, skill, and leadership development trainings
• Professionally represent the company’s values, standards, and principles in all interactions
• Support the company culture as a member of the Crabapple Team

Requirements:

• 2-4 years of college or equivalent professional experience
• Construction or landscape industry experience
• Extensive knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and timelines
• Reliable vehicle for business travel
• Valid driver’s license

Work Conditions:

• A fast-paced work environment
• Flexible working hours, which may include occasional weekend work
• Site meetings are held outdoors in various conditions, including hot and cold weather. They may require walking long distances.
• Travel throughout Metro Atlanta to visit prospective job sites as needed, meeting team members on site to clarify scope and design.
