We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individuals to be cross-trained as an Expeditor and Host to join our dynamic team in the hospitality industry. The Expeditor plays a crucial role in ensuring that food and beverage orders are processed efficiently and accurately, enhancing the overall guest experience. As a Host, your role will require excellent communication skills, a strong focus on customer service, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities: Expeditor
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of food orders.
- Communicate effectively with servers and guests to confirm order details and address any special requests.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the expediting area to promote safety and sanitation as well as a smooth workflow.
- Assist in guest relations by providing exceptional service and addressing any concerns promptly.
- Foster a positive team environment by collaborating with colleagues across various departments.
Responsibilities: Host
- Greet guests with a positive attitude.
- Seat guests in appropriate server sections.
- Answer phones for reservations, to-go orders, or to direct the call to the appropriate person.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host area to promote safety and sanitation as well as a smooth workflow.
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms.
- Help buss and reset tables when time permits.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred, but not required.
- Strong phone etiquette and communication skills are essential for interacting with guests and team members effectively.
- Familiarity with POS systems is advantageous for managing orders and transactions.
- A passion for guest services and the ability to remain calm under pressure will contribute to success in this role.
