Responsibilities
- Prepare and mix ingredients according to established recipes for ice cream production.
- Operate ice cream making equipment and ensure it is maintained in good working condition.
- Monitor the freezing process and adjust equipment settings as necessary to achieve desired texture and flavor.
- Conduct quality control checks on finished products to ensure consistency and adherence to food safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment.
- Assist in inventory management by tracking ingredient usage and notifying management of low stock levels.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or kitchen environments, preferably in a restaurant or hotel setting.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Experience with food preparation techniques, particularly in dessert or ice cream production, is a plus.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
