Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Provide instruction in various subjects, including math, literacy education, and physical education
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive educational experience
- Utilize behavior management techniques to promote a positive learning environment
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs of students, including those with special education or early intervention requirements
- Foster a love of learning and encourage student engagement
Experience:
- Previous experience working with children or students in an educational setting
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices
- Familiarity with special education strategies and accommodations
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to effectively manage classroom dynamics and student behavior
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Valid teaching certification/license
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to pass background checks and meet all state requirements for working with children
