What are the responsibilities and job description for the Host/Hostess position at Craft Kitchen?
Duties:
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant
- Escort guests to their tables and provide menus
- Take reservations and manage the waiting list
- Maintain a clean and organized front-of-house area
- Answer phone calls and assist with inquiries pertaining take our orders, catering, & reservations
- Collaborate with FOH & BOH staff to ensure smooth operations
- Process payments and operate the POS system accurately
Skills:
- Hospitality: Provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere for guests
- Customer service: Deliver exceptional service and address guest needs promptly
- Guest relations: Build positive relationships with guests to enhance their dining experience
- Communication: Effectively communicate with guests, team members, and management
- POS (Point of Sale) system: Proficient in using Toast POS or similar software for order processing and payment transactions
- Phone etiquette: Handle phone calls professionally and assist callers with inquiries or reservations
- Guest services: Anticipate guest needs and provide personalized assistance when required
- Helpfulness: Willingness to assist guests and team members as needed. We cross train in bussing, food running, expo, & servering if interest & willingness is shown.
