Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Machinist Engineer to join our team at Craft Pattern and Mold. In this role, you will be responsible for engineering, manufacturing, and fabricating new parts using state-of-the-art CNC machines.
About the Role:
- You will work closely with project managers to engineer and manufacture new parts, ensuring they meet customer specifications.
- Program, set up, and operate CNC machines to produce high-quality parts from various materials.
- Develop design competency with Mastercam software and create machining fixtures via CAD as necessary.
Responsibilities:
- Engineer the appropriate machining process using experience, guidance, and company-established procedures.
- Program, set up, and machine parts from billet and plate materials.
- Establish design competency with Mastercam software.
- Design and build machining fixtures via CAD for secondary machining operations.
- Program machining parts via CAM.
- Set up tooling and CNC machines for secondary machining operations.
- Run setup parts through each operation and gain buyoff at each phase.
- Run remaining parts on order through machining operations.
- Deburr, clean, and package parts for shipment.
- Teardown tooling and fixtures and clean mills.
- Assist in machining production tooling components as needed.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position or equivalent.
- Trade school education or relevant technical degree preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude, effective computer use, basic math skills, independent decision-making, and self-management essential.
