Position Summary
Plan, layout, assemble, and install fire sprinkler piping and related materials to the specifications of engineering / design, architectural, and structural blueprints.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties
- Read and interpret engineering / design, architectural, and structural blueprints and plan pipe system layout, installation, or repair, according to specifications.
- Select pipe sizes, types, or related materials, such as supports and hangers, for layout and installation.
- Perform cutting, fitting, and pipe connection using threaded, soldered, brazed, or grooved joints and utilizing a variety of hand tools.
- Inspect, examine, or test installed systems or pipe lines, using pressure gauge, observation, or other methods.
- Install hydraulic components of machines and equipment, such as pumps.
- Complete required paperwork / reports on each job including daily time, progress, duration, record of parts, material, labor, subs, returns, and other cost data per assignment.
