We have partnered with a Global Leader in innovative and reliable maritime equipment, as an Area Sales Manager supporting our offshore wind operations. They manufacture highly reliable, innovative, and customized lifesaving equipment, deck equipment, and handling solutions. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role for a technical expert who thrives in a dynamic, collaborative environment. We are seeking a genuine, well-rounded individual who can act a product expert addressing technical questions.
What You’ll Do
- Lead sales growth across existing and new customers within your territory
- Take full responsibility for revenue and profitability targets across your customer portfolio
- Align cross-functional teams around customer needs, collaborating closely with service and operations teams
- Develop and execute strategic annual customer development plans
- Deliver accurate forecasting, budgeting, and performance reporting to global leadership
- Act as the voice of the customer, translating insights into actionable plans
- Ensure compliance with company strategy, HSEQ policies, and regional regulations
- Proactively identify market opportunities and champion the company offering to maximize impact
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field (MBA preferred)—or equivalent experience
- 5 years of sales management experience in an international or marine-related industry
- Fluent in English (written & spoken); additional local languages a plus
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to build high-trust customer relationships
- Results-driven, strategic thinker with solid negotiation and influencing skills
- Cross-cultural awareness and adaptability in a global business environment
- Deep understanding of marine equipment markets, LSA (Life Saving Appliances), and maritime regulations
- Ability to meet deadlines through good time management and allocation of priorities
