Job Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced PeopleSoft Absence Management and Time & Labor Consultant to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in PeopleSoft versions 9.1 and 9.2, along with a strong understanding of Oracle database structure. This role requires the ability to translate business requirements into effective solutions, enhance existing implementations, and collaborate with both functional and technical teams.
The consultant will be responsible for developing functional specifications, reviewing current systems, and recommending improvements. They will also work on integrating various modules and defining interfaces with external vendors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop functional specifications and enhancements for Absence Management and Time & Labor modules in PeopleSoft.
- Review existing PeopleSoft implementations, identify gaps, and recommend improvements.
- Understand and define system requirements, translating business needs into functional solutions.
- Work closely with the development team to communicate and prioritize requirements.
- Collaborate with the architecture team to present and get approval for implementation models.
- Develop test plans and traceability metrics to ensure requirements are met.
- Troubleshoot, resolve defects, and ensure system quality.
- Provide expertise in integrating different PeopleSoft modules and external vendor interfaces.
- Ensure minimal customization while maximizing the use of delivered PeopleSoft functionality.
Minimum Requirements:
- Extensive experience with PeopleSoft versions 9.1 & 9.2, especially in Absence Management and Time & Labor.
- Strong understanding of Oracle database structure and data architecture.
- Ability to quickly understand current system environment definitions.
- Excellent communication skills to work with both business and technical teams.
- Proven experience in defining and developing interfaces with external vendors.
- Ability to translate complex business requirements into practical, functional solutions.
- Knowledge of internal PeopleSoft architecture and the ability to present implementation models for approval.
- Experience in creating detailed test plans and metrics for requirements traceability.
- Strong problem-solving skills for defect resolution.
- Solid integration knowledge between PeopleSoft modules and external systems.
- Technical knowledge is a plus, particularly to collaborate with technical resources.
