What are the responsibilities and job description for the Combo Welders/Fitters - Barge Repair Facility position at Craftsmen Contractors LLC?
Craftsmen Contractors is hiring for Combo Welders/Fitters to work at a barge repair facility in Harahan, LA. The ideal candidate must have experience as a Combo Welder/Fitter. This is long term position working full time day shift (6:30am - 4 or 5pm) Mondays thru Fridays with some occasional overtime available.
Pay rate is $18.50 to $23.25 depending on experience.
Pay rate will be determined on how you do on your Welding/Fitting test, job performance and job attendance.
- Have at least 3 years of Structural Welding/Fitting (preferably barge) experience.
- Must have your own welding and fitting equipment.
- Previous experience welding on a barge in the water
- Pass a Welding/Fitting test - stick welding, mild steel and low hydrogen rods.
- Be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
- Do a face to face interview prior to being hired.
- Know how to read a tape measure.
- Some experience with torch cutting.
- Will need to have own hand tools and have all PPE.
