What are the responsibilities and job description for the Experienced Forklift Operator position at Craftsmen Contractors, LLC?
Craftsmen Contractors is hiring for an experienced Forklift Operator for the New Orleans area to move products and material around facilities. You will be operating a forklift with the utmost care to ensure efficiency and safety. Your job will involve working at warehouse distribution facility. The work schedule is Monday thru Friday (7:30am - 4:30pm). Weekly pay.
Forklift Operators pay rate is $15/hr.
Forklift Operators need to have 2 steady years of forklift experience. A forklift certification in the past is a plus.
Having a TWIC Card is major
Will need to pass a criminal background check.
Responsibilities
- Unload materials and merchandise from incoming vehicles and stack them to assigned places
- Locate and move stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment
- Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies
- Transport raw materials to production workstations
- Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance
- Keep updated records of inventory and activity logs
- Comply with company policies and legal guidelines
- Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facilities
Job Requirements:
- Proven experience as Forklift Operator - 2 steady years
- Need to be able to pass a criminal background check
- Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment
- Current TWIC Card is highly recommended.
- Excellent physical condition and coordination
- Need to be aware of all surroundings at all times
