What are the responsibilities and job description for the Metal Stud Framers position at Craftsmen Contractors, LLC?
Craftsmen Contractors will be hiring experienced Metal Stud Framers for the Mobile, Alabama area. This for long term construction projects working a full time schedule consisting of day shifts Monday thru Friday.
These are temp to permanent positions for the right candidates.
Pay is $18 - $21/hr. depending on experience.
Weekly pay by direct deposit and no per diem is offered.
Job Duties:
- Assembling and installing metal stud framing
- Reading and understanding blueprints
- Preparing, configuring, and assembling the required tools, including ladders, measuring tapes, hammer drill machines and straightedges
- Marking and cutting the metal studs based on the blueprints
- Drawing chalk lines on metal frames to level them up
- Complying with relevant regulatory practices related construction projects and safety requirements
- Attaching metal frames with preconfigured horizontal and vertical wallboards
- Preparing small openings into the metal frames with drilling tools to make space for electric lines and outlets
- Using different fastening tools, such as screws, nails, studs, and connectors
- Inspecting the quality of the procured metal stud frames if needed
Job Requirements:
- Need to have at least 2 years of metal stud framing experience.
- Have own hand tools, PPE and be able to make it to work on a daily basis.
- Must have extensive experience with hand and power tools.
- Read blueprints
- Strong attention to detail, which helps them follow the engineering blueprint accurately
- Ability to move heavy objects, including metal studs, sheetrock, power tools and other construction materials
- Be able to stand for long periods of time
- Good communication skills to work as a part of a team
- Good organizational skills to keep all the tools functional and available when needed
