Paint Technicians

Craftsmen Contractors is hiring Paint Technicians for a manufacturing facility in the Minden, La. area. The work schedule consists of day shifts from Monday thru Friday. You also will have to work every other Saturday. These are temp to permanent positions for those seeking long term work.

Starting pay is $13 - $28.60/hr. depending on experience. Weekly pay by direct deposit.

No per diem is offered.

Will need to pass a pre-employment drug screen and a criminal background check prior to being hired.

Job Duties:

• Paint large metal buildings, doors, and metal parts, consistently and accurately without dry streaks / runs, or sags with airless sprayer / HVLP.
• Spray gun painting
• Sand, prep and clean all materials that require painting.
• Mix paints as per specifications.
• Repair any damages to materials prior to painting with bondo/JB weld
• Perform other duties as required by job order or assigned by crew leader.
• Basic cleaning duties.

Job Requirements:

• Demonstrate the ability to select the proper application method for the paint and the surface to be painted.
• Need to be skilled in the application of all types of paint using brush, roller, cup spray guns, pressure pot spray equipment, airless spray equipment and be able to fully use, clean and maintain all paint equipment.
• Able to stand on concrete 100% of the time, often 10 hours a day.
• Job involves twisting, turning, reaching, bending, climbing, pulling, pushing, holding arms at shoulder height for an extended period of time.
• Uses both hands to lift, place and manipulate material
• Ability to lift long and awkward parts weighing up to 50 lbs. repeatedly during the day.
• Mechanical aptitude
• High school diploma or GED
• Reliable transportation to get to work.
• Will need to pass a criminal background check and drug screen and must do a face to face interview before being hired.

Summary

As a Paint Spray Gun Technician, you will be responsible for applying coatings using spray gun paint spraying techniques in a manufacturing environment. Reporting to the Painting Supervisor, you will utilize your mechanical knowledge and skills in industrial and construction painting to ensure high-quality finishes. Your expertise in handling hand tools, materials, and precision measuring instruments will be essential for successful fabrication and assembly. A high school diploma or GED is required for this position.
