Craftsmen Contractors is currently seeking Journeymen, Leads, experienced Sheet Metal/Ductwork Mechanics and Installers for the Port St. Joe, Florida area. We are needing Ductwork & Sheet Metal Mechanics who have at least 1 - 2 years of commercial experience in the field and can work on their own as well as in a team setting.
This is for an ongoing project.
You will need to pass a criminal background check.
Journeymen & Leads - pay is negotiable
Sheet Metal/Ductwork Mechanics & Installers pay rate: $25 - $27/hr. depending on experience.
No per diem is offered.

Job Duties:
- Fabricate, assemble, install, and hang sheet metal products and equipment, such as ducts, control boxes, drainpipes, and furnace casings.
- Section cutting to assemble commercial rigid air conditioning duct work / systems, reading and interpreting blueprints of large chillers, specialized package units and also understanding electrical components such as lighting, panel boxes and building automation.
- Field fabricate, install and hang ducts and duct fittings, doing paperwork, adhering to company procedures, and following safety procedures.
- You will also help repair existing systems, test and examine systems for quality and make plans and material estimates for each project.
- Previous experience working with sheet metal and ductwork - at least 1 - 2 years of commercial experience required.
- Mechanics/Installers must be able to field fabricate, install and hang sheet metal/ductwork.
- Familiarity with HVAC wiring diagrams
- Ability to handle physical workload
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Will need to have appropriate basic hand tools, all PPE and reliable transportation to get to the job site.
- You will have to pass a criminal background check in accordance to local laws and regulations.
