Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and efficient service. You will manage the front of the house operations, including greeting customers, taking orders, and processing payments. Your ability to communicate effectively and provide excellent customer service will be key to creating a positive dining experience.
Duties
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, ensuring a pleasant first impression.
- Manage seating arrangements and maintain an organized flow of guests in the restaurant.
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently using the POS system.
- Process payments and handle cash transactions with precision.
- Assist in answering phone calls, providing information about menu items, and taking reservations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food delivery and address any guest inquiries or concerns.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area.
- Provide exceptional guest services by addressing needs promptly and professionally.
Skills
- Proficient in using POS systems; experience with Aloha POS is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
- Excellent phone etiquette for handling reservations and inquiries.
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A background in hotel or guest services is beneficial for understanding customer needs.
