Gull Lake Cruises is looking for a self-motivated, fun, customer-service oriented and upbeat person to join our Cruise Ship Team as a Bartender/Deckhand and Server! Bartender Responsibilities:
- Preparing alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages for bar and patrons, this is a very fast paced bar at boarding.
- Interacting with customers, taking orders, and serving snacks and drinks
- Assessing bar customers needs and preferences, making recommendations and up selling product.
- Ringing on and Balancing of the POS System
- Helping in the Galley and on the Buffet line.
- Perform all responsibilities as needed or assigned
- Assisting and working closely with Management and Captains of the ship
Other Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintain safety and cleanliness of workspace and entire boat. We aim for perfection.
- Service with a smile
- Maintain calm disposition in very busy environment
- Possess a fun yet professional personality
- Ability to work double shifts back-to-back
- Must show up to work showered with clean and pressed clothing
- Must be a team player and willing to have fun!
- Must not be afraid of the water
Requirements
Abilities:
- Must be able to work a very flexible schedule (days, weekends, and nights up until 1AM)
- Must be able to problem solve and have an eye for detail. Above and beyond is our Motto
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds of dead weight
- 18 years of age preferred
- Must be able to work steadily when on open water (no seasickness please)
- Must be able to attend all our Coast Guard training meetings, live rescues in the water are performed monthly along with fire drills.
- Must be willing to have random onsite and off-site drug and alcohol testing and background check. Mandatory by Coast Guard regulations.
- Prior bartending is a plus but not required
Start date will depend on the weather but we are shooting for May!
Salary : $11 - $16
