We are looking for an experienced leader in home health care who will be responsible for the overall direction of all customer-facing departments.
The Area Manager oversees all customer-facing and operational activities to ensure high-quality patient care and effective team performance. This includes managing staff hiring, training, and development; coordinating patient services; and resolving issues with patients, families, and internal teams. The role involves preparing reports, budgets, and improvement plans, collaborating with leadership on strategic goals, and maintaining compliance with professional standards. Additionally, the manager negotiates with vendors, manages facility needs, and implements workflows and training programs to support continuous improvement in pediatric home health and DME service.
Pediatric Home Service is a pediatric home health agency that has provided high-quality DME and nursing services to medically fragile children since 1990. Our services allow our clients to remain and thrive in their homes, schools, and communities. The majority of the clients we serve are age’s birth through 21 years old and have a variety of technologies that might include a trach, ventilator or g-tube.

- Position: Area Manager (30 mil P&L)
- Location: Houston, TX
- Hours: Monday-Friday,(8a-5p)
- In office, on call as needed
The Area Manager oversees all customer-facing and operational activities to ensure high-quality patient care and effective team performance. Additionally, the manager negotiates with vendors, manages facility needs, and implements workflows and training programs to support continuous improvement in pediatric home health and DME service.
- Oversee daily operations to ensure efficient service delivery and patient needs are met according to standards and policies.
- Lead and manage all customer-facing and support employees within the area.
- Collaborate with the Regional VP to manage P&L, achieve financial targets, and develop budgets.
- Analyze financial statements and KPIs to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Address escalated customer concerns and drive exceptional customer service.
- Build relationships with referral sources and other provider agencies to support growth.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Set clear performance goals, provide feedback, and recognize high-performing team members.
- Monitor and improve customer satisfaction levels.
- Travel within the assigned area as needed to support operations.
- Multi-Site Leadership – Oversee multi locations, ensuring consistent performance and service quality.
- Team Development & Coaching – Set clear expectations, provide ongoing feedback, and support leadership growth at all levels.
- Performance Management – Monitor KPIs, conduct regular check-ins, and implement corrective action when necessary.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration – Work closely with HR, finance, compliance, and clinical teams to drive alignment and operational success.
- Crisis & Escalation Management – Handle escalated customer and employee issues, implementing solutions to maintain service excellence.
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
- 7 years in multi-site healthcare operations, DME, home health, or a related field, with direct oversight of large teams.
- Proven track record of managing a $25 P&L, creating budgets, analyzing financial statements, and driving revenue growth.
- Knowledge of healthcare reimbursement models, insurance processes, and revenue cycle management.
- Track record of driving operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and business expansion.
