POSITION SUMMARY
In concert with the Strategy Director, works closely with Craig's senior leadership, managers, and staff to facilitate Strategic Plan development and execution. The Strategy Specialist II leads or supports the definition and execution of Craig’s strategic programs and projects by collaborating with stakeholders to generate and execute on solutions. The Strategy Specialist II supports internal clients by effectively applying consulting, project management, and process improvement methodologies to ensure project success.

Rate of Pay : $31.90 - $45.94 per hour depending on experience
Education : Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred, preferably in business, healthcare administration, project management or related field.
Experience : Prefer a minimum of five (5) years of experience working in a healthcare environment. Consulting experience is strongly preferred.
Skills & Abilities : Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilities. Advanced skills in project management, process improvement, and change management. Advanced skills in Microsoft Office. Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills; communicate effectively with all levels of leadership, staff and physicians. Outstanding data analysis / process improvement / strategic thinking skills. Demonstrated skills in building effective business partner relationships.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Lead and / or supports critical projects and initiatives aimed at achieving Craig’s Strategic Objectives.
Assesses Craig Hospital’s strategic position and identifies opportunities to further define and advance the hospital’s strategy.
Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leaders, providing insights and recommendations to support informed decision-making. Consults senior leaders and other stakeholders to ensure fulfillment of strategic goals by identifying gaps and developing solutions.
Manage projects and programs for Craig Hospital, including defining goals, measurements, deliverables, key milestones and critical paths for projects containing multiple work streams. Identifies project barriers / constraints / risks and provides recommendations to mitigate them. Use existing project methodologies to execute projects.
Effectively applies process improvement. Supports activities to ensure the development, communication, execution and refinement of the hospital’s five-year strategic plan.
Partner with Strategy Director to monitor and document information about new project requests and strategic initiatives.
Assist in the alignment of projects with strategic objectives and identify opportunities to increase efficiency, cost-effectiveness, quality and service.
Support organizational alignment around the Strategic Plan, partnering with Craig's core functions.
Support Strategy Director and Executive Leadership in timely and high-quality completion of the annual Strategic Plan Review with the Craig Board.
Lead assessment of organizational performance and identifies performance improvement and competitive advantage opportunities.
Where appropriate, identifies industry trends, conducts research and benchmarks with other healthcare organizations to understand key issues and apply them to Craig Hospital.
