Craig Kelley & Faultless is a nationally recognized personal injury law firm that focuses on commercial motor vehicle wrecks and other accidents resulting in serious injuries or deaths. The law firm is over 25 years old and is a rapidly growing. Its purpose is to make a positive difference in the lives of its clients, employees and people in the communities in which they practice. They have lawyers licensed in Indiana, Missouri, Illinois, Ohio, Kentucky and Iowa. They handle heavy truck wreck cases throughout the nation. They are headquartered in Fort Benjamin Harrison in Indianapolis Indiana. They have other offices in Indiana as well as one in St Louis, Missouri. This position would work at the headquarters in Indianapolis.
Responsibilities
The litigation file manager role involves managing a case load of approximately 45 to 50 litigation files. They do not handle pre-litigation or trial files. Pre-lit and trial clients are handled by other paralegals and other divisions within the firm. The role involves heavy client contact, requesting medical records and bills, confirming liens, working with experts, scheduling depositions and mediations, preparing and filing basic pleadings and monitoring deadlines. The file manager will work with several attorneys. The position does not have to draft Complaints, answer discovery or summarizes medical records. Others do those tasks. However the file manager is expected to think and work with the attorneys to maximize the value of every case.
Qualifications
To be successful you need to be self motivating and highly accountable. You need to be able to work independently as well as with a team. You will have KPIs that you will be expected to hit and you will be rewarded for hitting those goals. Litigation experience is necessary. A paralegal degree is required. Experience in handling commercial motor vehicle cases is a plus. You have to be willing to learn and want to improve. The law firm will send you to national conferences and help you improve your skills and abilities.
Salary : $30 - $40
