Safety Manager
The Safety Manager is responsible for ensuring the safety and compliance of a fleet of over 100 drivers. This role involves developing, implementing, and managing safety programs, conducting safety audits, and ensuring adherence to all relevant regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Safety Program Development: Create and implement comprehensive safety policies and procedures to ensure the safety of drivers and vehicles.
- Compliance Management: Ensure all drivers and vehicles comply with federal, state, and local regulations, including DOT and FMCSA standards.
- Accident Investigation: Lead investigations into accidents and incidents, identify root causes, and develop corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Safety Audits: Perform regular safety audits and inspections of vehicles and equipment to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of safety training, incidents, inspections, and compliance activities. Prepare and submit required reports to regulatory agencies.
- Driver Support: Address driver safety concerns and provide guidance on safe driving practices. Respond to and resolve safety-related complaints.
- Risk Management: Identify and assess potential risks and hazards associated with transportation operations. Develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes. Continuously improve safety programs and procedures.
