Cram Crew is an academic tutoring firm based in Texas that provides in-home tutoring with a personalized, tailored approach to students’ educational plans. We have been in the business for over 25 years and are looking for multi-talented lifelong learners ready to join our team. As part of our team-oriented culture, we provide comprehensive training, a collaborative environment, and professional development programs.
As an Editor, you will support our clients through the college application process by reviewing admissions résumés and essays. As an integral member of our College Readiness department, you will work closely with team members to support, shape, and guide the future of our program. This position is located in our Katy office!
What you’ll be responsible for:
· Editing and proofreading client materials for mistakes in grammar and content
· Creating and designing unique résumés for clients with Adobe InDesign software
· Providing clear, constructive feedback, including personalized suggestions and solutions to clients and team members
· Managing time-sensitive and long-term projects simultaneously
· Drafting and editing content for company and client materials, including protocols and blog entries
· Working with clients on materials as needed
· Assisting with administrative tasks and special projects as needed
· Communicating with parents and students via email and telephone while providing exceptional customer service
What you should offer:
· Thorough understanding of writing mechanics and structure
· Exceptional grammatical, proofreading, and editing skills
· Strong communication, collaboration, and time management skills
· Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work as part of a team
· Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, or a related field required
· Proficiency with InDesign and Microsoft Office applications preferred
· Creative writing workshop, writing center tutoring, and/or editing (school publications, magazines, reports, etc.) experience strongly preferred
