Cramer Fish Sciences (CFS) is seeking a talented ACCOUNTANT II to join our team!
This role will provide essential support to the Finance, Accounting and Administration departments including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, purchasing, cash reporting, project administration, general ledger, and supports project managers and staff, as needed, across the organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure compliance with GAAP standards for all transactions
- Assist with day-to-day and bi-weekly payroll, employee time and expense responsibilities
- Assist with day-to-day transactions for accounts receivable and payable
- Generate monthly project invoicing based on client requirements
- Perform reconciliations, other AR & AP transactions, journal entry preparations and posting, and other tasks supporting Admin and Accounting
- Oversee the company's fixed assets transactions, records, reports, and schedules
- Support with purchasing of supplies and assets for all staff
- Assist with cash transactions, day-to-day entries, and reporting in coordination with the Senior Accountant
- Provide support as needed with yearend reports, 1099s and other requirements
- Provide project support to project managers and other staff
- Assist with property tax, sales and use tax, B&O tax, business licenses, and any other taxes/licenses for all locations
- Assist with and backup for GSA administration and maintenance
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of data entry and transactions
- Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures for revenue and expenses, and follows best practices for accounting controls
- Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/QUALFICATIONS:
- A bachelor's degree in accounting with 2 years of general accounting/payroll/general ledger experience or equivalent
- Operating a computer to search, update, correct, and retrieve information.
- Experienced and proficient user of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, intermediate or higher.
- Proficient user of Salesforce/PSA/Financial Force software and ERP system
- Communicating orally and in writing with a variety of people, gathering and exchanging information.
- Able to prioritize and manage a variety of tasks. Remain flexible providing superior customer service internally and externally. Recognize needs and take appropriate action.
- Able to proficiently navigate payroll, accounting, and project management systems and software
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a commitment to outstanding customer service
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
COMPENSATION:
- Salary: $70,000 - $88,000 (Dependent on experience)
