What are the responsibilities and job description for the FULL-TIME GREENSKEEPER position at Cranberry Township?
Cranberry Township, Butler County, is seeking applicants for a one (1) full-time bargaining unit Greenskeeper position with the Cranberry Highlands Golf Course, reporting to the Golf Course Superintendent.
Work includes but is not limited to supervising and executing the golf course maintenance including mowing of all grounds; chemical and fertilizer applications; irrigation system operation, repair, and installation; construction projects within the golf course; assists the Shop Technician with preventative maintenance/ service of all equipment when deemed necessary. This position includes the use of heavy and light duty equipment including mowers, skid steers, loaders, mini-excavators, tractors, a variety of hand/power tools. The position will aid with the daily task assignments and the safety and training of subordinates. Candidate must be able to perform tasks independently and as part of group. This position may require performing snow removal duties as the township deems necessary.

Required Qualifications:
Candidate must have a High School Diploma or GED; supplemented by at least one (1) year of experience in a team environment. Candidates must have a valid insurable driver's license & must acquire a PA Department of Agriculture Public Pesticide Applicator's License, including Category Core and 7 (Safety and Lawn and Turf) within six (6) months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
At least one (1) year of experience in turfgrass management, landscape construction or a related field including at least six (6) months of experience with calculating pesticides for application and calibration. At least six (6) months experience demonstrating an ability to utilize technical hardware (computers, tablets) and software (Microsoft Office programs) and six (6) months of personal or professional experience that demonstrates the applicant is mechanically inclined. PA Department of Agriculture Public Pesticide Applicator's License, including Category Core and 7 (Safety and Lawn and Turf) preferred.
Hourly Wage: $21.42 until June 30, 2025; $22.11 for the remainder of the first six (6) months of employment after June 30, 2025 & $24.99 after; Wage pursuant to Collective Bargaining Agreement
