What are the responsibilities and job description for the SUMMER 2025 INTERNSHIP PROGRAM: ENGINEERING & ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES position at Cranberry Township?
Cranberry Township, Butler County, is seeking summer 2025 interns for a unique opportunity with several Cranberry Township departments.
THOSE INTERESTED IN APPLYING TO THE SUMMER INTERNSHIP PROGRAM MAY ONLY SUBMIT THEIR APPLICATION TO ONE DEPARTMENT.
Engineering & Environmental Services oversees projects dealing with infrastructure, including storm and sanitary sewers, water production, and other high-quality technical services. The department also ensures the Township is compliant with environmental rules and regulations. Duties include, but are not limited to, stormwater projects and on-site visits, research on best practices, data entry, assisting with safety initiatives and coordination during Municipal Center Renovations.
The program will run from approximately May 19, 2025, through August 8, 2025. While interns will spend most of their time with the department they were hired on with, this internship will include a variety of events and tours to allow interns to get a sense of the entire Township operation.
Applicants must be currently enrolled in an educational institution. Students seeking an Associates, Bachelors, or Masters degree in a relevant major preferred.
Approximate Hourly Wage: $13.00
Applications will be accepted through March 3, 2025, or until the position is filled, whichever occurs first.
