Instructor – Young Authors Day Camp

Duties: Interact with families and campers (boys and girls, grades 2-8) in a positive, nurturing and enriching manner. Create and execute fun and engaging lesson plans and develop materials required for specific activity content and present them for approval to the camp director in a timely manner. Oversee all assigned activities and supply inventories for the activity area. Supervise and manage all campers to ensure consistent engagement and safety for each camper during the activity. Provide enriching and creative growth experiences within the camp activities.
Qualifications: High school diploma; experience in activity; teaching experience; certified in activity or be open to early training (if applicable); superior problem-solving skills and ability to relate with campers, staff, and parents.
Preferred: Currently attending or graduated from college; camp employment experience.
Timeframe: June 9 to August 10; Weekdays only except first and last. Must be able to work the entire length of camp.
Wage: $17.50 per hour.
