Cranbrook Institute of Science’s on-site Explore Camps give inquisitive campers the support they need to learn through doing. Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To
This position works with campers and assists directors with camp materials and logistics. Directly responsible for campers attending after care and includes preparation of the weekly/daily schedule and activities of aftercare, delivers all aftercare programming, manages aftercare camper’s safety, interactions, and behavior, and interacts with parents at pick up.
Qualifications Required
Timeframe: Training begins in June; day camp sessions run Monday-Friday starting July 7th to August 1st with the possible opportunity to extend employment through August and beyond. Typically, an 8-hour day with the hours of 10:30am-6:30pm. Must be able to work the entire length of camp.
Wage: $18.75/hour

Qualifications Required
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- A Bachelor’s or Associate's degree in Education or a related field is preferred.
- 2 years demonstrated experience engaging and managing youth in group activities such as camp, scouts, formal classroom settings, or after school programs.
- Ability to effectively relate to campers, staff, and parents.
