You’ll have the opportunity to assist various departments in our shop while engaging services related to the repair, remanufacturing, and maintenance of magnet systems/parts using a large variety of tools and machines, including drill presses, grinders, welding machines, and more! Machine Operator - Electro-Magnet Coil Winder Role & Responsibilities
- Any construction or fabrication experience is a plus.
- Experience in winding electromagnet coils is preferred but not required; ribbon, wire conductor, and/or transformer winding.
- Knowledge of winding copper and aluminum wire and ribbon coils
- Ability to use and read a tape measure.
- Familiarity with a wide range of common hand, power, commercial and industrial tools.
- Must be able to work as a team and independently as required.
- Ability to follow directions and a true willingness to want to learn in this craft.
- Willingness to perform/learn multiple skills.
- Other duties as assigned.
Machine Operator - Electro-Magnet Coil Winder Qualifications
- KNOWLEDGE: Minimum of (2) years(s) of magnet coil winding/electric motor winding with production shop experience is preferred.
- SKILLS:
- Ability to perform general math skills, including decimals and fractions.
- Good visual capability and attention to detail.
- Must be able to work quickly and with accuracy.
- Must have excellent hand-eye coordination and good manual dexterity in both hands.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities/flexibility.
- Ability to read and interpret operation sheets.
- Experience with the operation of overhead cranes and forklifts is a plus.
- Ensure we maintain a professional, safe, productive, and compliant work environment.
- Must possess strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- ABILITY: To perform physical tasks throughout the day (standing, bending, lifting 50 - 75 lbs, sitting, walking) and work within a team environment.
