Position snapshot: As a Commercial Lines Account Executive, you’ll serve as a trusted advisor to our clients, helping them navigate complex insurance needs while ensuring they receive tailored coverage and risk management solutions. You will be pivotal in maintaining and expanding commercial accounts, working closely with producers and providing leadership to Account Managers and CSRs.
What we’re looking for: (Experience/Qualifications)
- Minimum of seven years of experience in the field
- Extensive commercial lines product knowledge and risk management expertise
- Active Producer’s license required; (with CIC and CRM certifications preferred or a willingness to complete within the first five years)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word and Excel

What you’ll be doing: (Job Duties/Essential Functions)
- Collaborate, communicate and work closely with producer(s) to meet the unit’s strategic business objectives
- Build relationships with clients to understand their business needs and create insurance programs that protect their business and alleviate risk
- Assist in designing insurance plans and other risk management solutions for clients
- Consult with clients to make appropriate coverage and limit changes while keeping them informed of market and policy changes
- Prepare new business and renewal submissions, including ACORD applications, risk narratives, photos, site diagrams and loss runs and submit them to carriers or Crane’s Marketing Department while ensuring accuracy and timely responses
- Investigate insurance company non-renewals, manage the remarketing process and keep insured clients informed throughout the process
- Prepare proposals for insured clients or prospects, including coverage summaries and recommendations to ensure understanding of the insurance program provided
- Visit key clients and prospects in person
- Document agency management system according to Crane’s workflows and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Maintain prompt and reliable attendance
