Press Job Responsibilities include:
- Safe and effective press operation, including identification and elimination of defects
- Thoroughly understand all press operations, including effectively perform at all operator/process stations
- Utilize test equipment and procedures to ensure conformance to customer specs
- Follow all SOPs for machine operation, troubleshooting, security, record keeping, and safety
- Keep neat and accurate records
- Practice safe and efficient material handling for both raw materials and finished goods
- Back-up support for inspection and packaging of finished goods
REQUIREMENTS:
- HS diploma or equivalent experience
- Previous press experience providing proficiency in basic operation (3 years minimum); must include flexographic printing, prepress, and rotary die cutting
- Strong mechanical aptitude and dexterity to perform improvements and basic repairs
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent. Ability to convert between different units of measurement
- Ability to climb in overhead structures, to work beneath machines and in close quarters performing analysis and repair work
- Able to perform all computer functions as they pertain to this job
- Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; gather and analyze information and maintain confidentiality
- Knowledgeable with electrical/ electronic components and equipment including the use of special instruments for diagnostic purposes
- Able to balances team and individual responsibilities; Contribute to building a positive team spirit.
- Must be dependable, able to follow instructions, respond to direction, and solicit feedback to improve performance
- Applicants must be United States citizens and be able to demonstrate suitability for Position of Public Trust.
