What are the responsibilities and job description for the Instructional Aide III-ELL Testing/ Data Management position at Crane Elementary School District 13?
JOB GOAL:
Maintaining ELL student data and files. Testing students in the District who have limited or no English skills and assist teachers in appropriate student program placement.

Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Processes Primary Home Language Other Than English (PHLOTE) form from the point of registration. Conducts assessment of students according to compliance timeline requirements for the state.
- Tests individual students as referred by teachers, Principal and screening team and schedules retests as mandated by program. (Upon enrollment in school or as indicated by state requirements.) Provides teachers with data and individual student performance levels.
- Works with individual ESL students or small groups of students to assess skill level.
- Grades assessments in a timely manner, records data, prepares tests for Publisher, and distributes student test results/information to classroom teacher. Prepares spread sheet that records all data for ELL students and reports information to the school leadership team.
- Enters and maintains data and creates informational spread sheets for leadership team.
- Alerts the teacher(s) concerned to any problem or special information about an I individual student.
- Participates in in-service training programs as assigned.
- Performs other related duties as required by supervisor.

ELL Coordinator
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education, Training, and/or Experience Guidelines
1. High School Diploma or GED
2. A minimum of 60 credit hrs of accredited college level course work or a passing score on the ParaPro exam.
3. Experience in development, processing and manipulation of spreadsheets with data entry computer programs.
4. Ability to fluently read, write and speak English and Spanish
5. Ability to work harmoniously with staff and students.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
The position requires the individual to meet multiple demands from several people and interact with public and staff.
EVALUATION:
Performance of this job shall be evaluated by the Assessment Coordinator in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on evaluation of classified personnel.
