What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dispatch Lead position at Crane Worldwide Logistics?
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Ensures Client needs and commitments are met
- Dispatch drivers and respond to Drivers calls
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations
- Notify drivers of assignments and direct their activities to ensure cargo is picked up and delivered
- Maintain information on shipments and ensures proper paperwork required
- Update data base on all dispatched move
- Other duties as assigned

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Talking, hearing and using hands to operate computer equipment
- Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus
- Job may require extended sitting or standing, use of standard office equipment.
OTHER SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Knowledge of local geographic market.
- Accurate typing skills and/or data entry skills.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
- Responds promptly and professionally to client needs.
- Read, comprehend and complete basic checklists, forms or other related documents.
- Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
- Good vision and depth perception required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 1 to 3 years, related experience.
- Minimum 1 year of industry experience preferred.
