What are the responsibilities and job description for the Product Owner position at Crane Worldwide Logistics?
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Describe the product with understanding of users and use and develop a product that serves both
- Analyze the impact of proposed solutions across the entire organization, develop use cases to explain/demonstrate business requirements, specifications and acceptance criteria to users.
- Inspect and oversee product progress during entire development process.
- Works in an Agile environment, writing user stories, and conducting sprint planning and retrospectives.
- Ensure compliance with data governance policies, security, privacy, and regulatory requirements in all integrations.
- Facilitate implementation of new functionality through training sessions, demos, and the development of appropriate documentation.
- Provide relevant test scenarios for the testing team.
- Work with test team to develop system integration test scripts and ensure the testing results correspond to the business expectations.
- Other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Job may require extended sitting or standing, use of standard office equipment.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Understanding of data integration tools, platforms (ETL, ELT, API management), and database systems.
- Expert knowledge of project management principles and frameworks like Agile or Scrum.
- Must possess good communication skills with the ability to be assertive.
- Extensive experience in working with end users to elicit and document business requirements.
- Strong analytical skills and writing skills, including solid experience in writing functional and technical specifications.
- Strong teamwork skills in a small local setting, as well as across different geographic locations.
- Strong organization skills with an excellent attention to detail.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office, Visio, Collaboration and Project management tools.
- Able to drive short-term actions that are consistent with long-term goals.
- Effective listening skills
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor degree
- 3- 5 years of experience
CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES
- Professional certification is not required in this position.
