What are the responsibilities and job description for the Safety and Compliance Specialist position at Crane Worldwide Logistics?
Essential Job Functions
- Ensures all laws and regulations are followed, making recommendations in order for company and vendors to be in compliance with local, state, federal, etc. laws, rules, and regulations.
- Continuously monitors and evaluates activities associated with marketing and execution of processes
- Revises and implements various administrative policies and procedures including safety forms and report formats
- Develops and implement safety programs and training activities for company employees as needed
- Develops safety procedures, plans, permits, and reports
- Performs compliance audits and implements follow-up corrective actions to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Other duties as required
Other Skills & Abilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Good analytical skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities
- Ability to work in a cooperative, team-oriented environment
- Working knowledge of basic regulatory frameworks, general regulatory and internal control requirements as well as industry knowledge in all aspects of compliance
- Capability to be a strong leader and motivator as well as has having sound judgment and impeccable integrity
- Highly organized and focused on delivering results
- Must have experience in analysis and reporting, along with a deep working knowledge of various financial products and services
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field required
- 3 or more years of related work experience
- Industry related experience preferred
Certifications & Licenses
- Professional certification may be required in some areas
Physical Requirements
- Job may require extended sitting or standing, use of standard office equipment.
