What are the responsibilities and job description for the Transportation Coordinator position at CrankyApe.com?
Essential Functions:
- Ask questions about the condition of the unit to qualify it for transport
- List the unit on our private transportation loadboard
- Select a transporter to bring the unit to our warehouse (compare price, timeline, and reliability of transporter)
- Monitor the unit to make sure it is transported within the necessary deadlines and reach out to transporters for updates if need be
- Communicate with client service representatives to let them know if any additional documents are needed or to gain approval for fees.
- Pay transporters after the unit has been dropped off
- Problem solve how to pick up difficult units (damaged, strange locations, etc.)
- Performing other related duties as assigned or requested.
Requirements:
- Willingness to learn & high attention to detail
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Excellent written/verbal communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multitask and keep professional composure in a fast-paced work environment.
- Must be comfortable with extensive phone usage throughout the day.
- Team player with a customer service mentality.
Hours of Operation
- On-site Full-time
- Monday through Friday 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- Occasional overtime as needed
