We are seeking part time and full time Bakers, Attention to detail, organization and cleanliness are all needed from our Bakers. You must be self-motivated, have strong communication skills, and have the ability to produce quality consistent products in a busy bakery/commissary kitchen. All team members earn $3-$6 (per hour!) from our staff appreciation pool

You’ll make a great Baker/commissary prep cook if you:

Basic Qualifications

• Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
• Available to work early mornings five days a week
• Meet store operating policies and standards
• Prepare and garnish pastry’s and baked goods
• Available to perform many different tasks within the store during each shift
• Ability to stand and be on your feet for extended periods of time

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Professional baking experience required. Please do not apply as only a home baker
• Knowledge of various baking and pastry preparation methods and techniques
• Ability to read, understand, and execute detailed recipes and processes
• Ability to learn quickly
• Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and request clarification when needed
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to build relationships
• Ability to lift, push/pull, carry and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Ability to smell and taste, helping ensure quality control for each food item/ingredient

What you’ll be doing

• Bring Crave recipes to life every day, following the recipes and processes to ensure our pastries and prepped foods are consistently delicious
• Bake in high volume and prep with attention to detail, maintaining an ongoing awareness of ingredients as our recipes change with the seasons and menu updates
• Portion ingredients with incredible care and attention to detail
• Collaborating and pitching in wherever is needed
• Ensure your station and equipment are in tip-top shape, always cleaning as you go
• Ensure sanitation practices are upheld to protect our culinary creations and guests
• Support your team in keeping the bakery running smoothly and beautifully - these tasks may vary but can include washing dishes, sweeping, dusting, mopping, cleaning and organizing ingredient bins, and taking out trash
• Monitor inventory and collaborate with baking manager to ensure accuracy and availability of supplies
• Learn our recipes and morning bake procedure
• ensure prep work such as but not limited to baking prep and pastry garnishing
• Ensure the Bakery is clean, stocked, and that your team has everything they need.
• Work with fellow team members to ensure that shift tasks are completed
• Prepare the Bakery for openings and close the Bakery so it is ready for the next day
• Support your team in keeping the line running smoothly and beautifully - these tasks may vary but can include washing dishes, sweeping, dusting, mopping, cleaning and organizing, and taking out trash.
• Stay knowledgeable about our current menu and pastry and baked good offerings.

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
