The District EC Program Specialist is responsible for providing support to Exceptional Children Teachers and collaborating with administrators to ensure compliance with special education laws and regulations. Responsibilities
- Collaborate with EC Teachers to schedule student services and coordinate with regular education schedules.
- Assist with scheduling IEP meetings and provide targeted compliance intervention as requested by the EC Director.
- Mentor EC Teachers in assigned schools and participate in IEP meetings that require fiscal distribution of funds or legal meetings.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Teaching certification in Special Education.
- Master's degree preferred but not required.
- 7-10 years teaching experience.
- Extensive knowledge of IDEA and working with students with disabilities.
