Teacher Position at Craven County Schools
Craven County Schools seeks a qualified teacher to join our educational team.
About the Role:
- This position involves teaching one or more classes to students in grades, focusing on the subject matter and skills outlined in the North Carolina Standard Course of Study/ Common Core and Essential Standards.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, and presenting instruction and instructional environments that promote students' learning and social development.
Responsibilities:
- Teach North Carolina Standard Course of Study/ Common Core and Essential Standards for assigned grade level.
- Plan, organize, and present instruction and instructional environments that help students learn subject matter and skills.
- Conduct lessons or instructional activities at a brisk pace, suitable for the age group.
- Maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment.
- Evaluate student performance and prepare progress reports.
- Select and requisition instructional materials, books, equipment, etc., and maintain inventory records.
- Participate in faculty meetings, District committees, and sponsorship of student activities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college/university.
- North Carolina Professional Educator's License.
- Ability to motivate students, communicate effectively, and maintain a clean and orderly environment.
- Experience with Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) and technology in instruction delivery.
