Job Description
The Quality Assurance Construction Inspector (QA Inspector) is responsible for ensuring that construction work performed on US Army Corps of Engineers projects meets quality standards, complies with contract specifications, and adheres to safety and environmental regulations. The position requires a strong understanding of construction practices and USACE standards. The QA Inspector will provide technical oversight, monitor construction activities, document compliance, and facilitate issue resolution.

Qualifications and Experience
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
- Equivalent experience in lieu of education will be considered.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction inspection or quality assurance for federal, state, or commercial projects.
- Previous experience with USACE projects is highly desirable.
- Certifications (Preferred but not required):
- Construction Quality Management for Contractors (CQM-C)
- OSHA 30-Hour Certification
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
- Knowledge of construction materials testing and inspection methods.
- Familiarity with quality management software and tools.
- Interpersonal Skills:
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Problem-solving aptitude and attention to detail.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and environments, including remote project sites.
Security Clearance
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance if required by the project.
