As a member of Crawford’s Human Resources team, the HR Coordinator provides assistance with the overall administration and coordination of the human resource function.
 
Essential Functions

  • Assists with developing and administering various human resources plans and procedures for all company personnel.
  • Assists with the planning and organizing of all activities of the department. Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems.
  • Annually assists with updating job descriptions and monitoring of the performance evaluation program.
  • Monitors when new forms (i.e., Form I-9, W-4 forms) are issued and ensures that we are in compliance by implementing and using those forms.
  • Collects and maintains file of current auto insurance policies for all employees.
  • Collects and maintains file of up-to-date driver’s licenses for all employees.
  • Maintains human resources records by recording new hires, transfers, terminations, changes in job classifications.
  • Enrolls field employees in Posterguard system so that they receive current (and updated) labor law posters as they are issued. Work with managers to ensure that employees are electronically reviewing and acknowledging the correct labor law posters.
  • Orients new employees by providing orientation information packets; reviewing company policies; gathering information for Paylocity HR Software; and explaining and obtaining signatures for benefit programs.
  • Assists with the maintenance and updating of the Paylocity Human Resources Software which includes updating job requirements, job descriptions, and all other information provided by department managers for all positions.
  • Accurately track and file Form I-9’s in the appropriate binders. Track and securely destroy Form I-9’s when the appropriate timeframe has passed.
Benefits Administration
  • Assists the HR Team during the annual Open Enrollment process. Tracks enrollments to ensure that employees are correctly enrolled in the plan options that they have selected.
  • Assists with reconciling the monthly invoices to ensure that Crawford is being billed appropriately, and that the correct coverage is in place.
  • Assists with administering Short-Term, Long-Term, and Life Insurance enrollment and changes.
  • Assists with HSA and FSA enrollment changes.
  • Assists with the termination from the plan when an employee leaves Crawford. Assists with enrolling in COBRA benefits.
  • Maintain up to date information on benefits for all employees (new hires, terminations, those making changes due to a qualifying event).
Government Reporting
  • Assists with the preparation and filing of government reports
    • EEOC-1 Report
    • OSHA Report
    • Vets 4212 Report
General Administrative Support
  • Maintains all current information; enters data in a specific manner that is easily followed, ensures that all entries are complete for government reporting and that all data is correct and detailed.
  • Prepares reports by collecting and analyzing information.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handles, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.
 
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am. To 5:00 pm. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Flexible working hours are possible at the discretion of the President.
 
Travel
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.
 
Required Education and Experience
  • A bachelor’s degree and five years of human resource experience, or nine years of experience in the HR Field.
  • Experience with Paylocity or similar HRIS system is preferred.
Preferred Education and Experience
  • A bachelor’s degree in human resource management.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) preferred.
