Crawford, Murphy & Tilly (CMT) , is a full-service design consulting firm with a team of engineers, planners and other related design professionals, is actively seeking to add a talented civil engineer to our team located in Kansas CIty, MO. For over 75 years, CMT engineers have planned and designed airport, transportation, sewer, drinking water, storm drainage, and property development projects. Our history is impressive, and our future is exciting. CMT seeks to add a full-time position as an entry-level civil engineer to our Aviation Business Unit. The selected candidate will demonstrate leadership qualities, possess the ability to work as a team member or independently and have the desire to learn new skills and broaden their area of expertise.
Duties & Responsibilities :
- Aviation projects are primarily airport-related, including but not limited to aviation pavement and utility systems and the design and construction of aviation-related infrastructure.
- Daily tasks for Aviation Engineers can include technical design, report writing, field investigations, cost estimating, construction observation, materials testing, attendance at client meetings, and travel to project sites.
- Collaborate with teams of varying sizes across multiple offices depending on the size and scope of the project
- Work in a fast-paced learning environment
- Working toward Illinois Professional Engineer license
