Our client is a full-service law firm with 100 years of practicing experience. They are searching for an Associate Attorney to handle business/corporate cases of various litigation matters from inception to resolution.

Summary
Our client, a Cleveland, Ohio-based law firm, providing services throughout Ohio and Nationwide, is immediately looking to hire an experienced Associate Attorney to join our growing Corporate practice.
An ideal candidate will have 3 years in practice with experience in complex corporate matters, M&A and other sophisticated transactional work, real estate acquisitions, dispositions, and development, and/or has provided outside General Counsel services to business clients.
Our attorneys work together in a collegial, intellectually stimulating environment. As a mid-sized firm without the rigid hierarchy found in larger firms, we provide young lawyers with the opportunity to work with more senior lawyers, and to interact directly with clients. Each associate controls his or her own schedule and must practice time management in order to complete all projects. Associates work with all of the attorneys and discover what specialties they would like to develop in their own practice as time progresses and they gain experience.

Responsibilities Handle a cases of various litigation matters from inception to resolution, including drafting pleadings, motions, and other legal documents (Appellate/trial work a huge plus) Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support litigation strategies and arguments Prepare for and conduct depositions, interrogatories, and other discovery proceedings Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and provide support during trials and hearings Assist with the preparation of trial exhibits, witness interviews, and trial briefs Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files, including organizing and managing documents and evidence Attend court hearings, conferences, and other legal proceedings as required Stay current with changes in laws, regulations, and legal precedents that may impact ongoing cases Communicate effectively and professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in the litigation process Qualifications Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school Admission to the State Bar and in good standing 3 year of experience in litigation experience Strong knowledge of civil procedure, legal research, and writing Proven experience conducting depositions and handling discovery processes Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills Compensation: Flexible salary (depending on experience) Full health benefits Up to 20% of salary bonus (end of year bonus)-1800 billable hours Health Savings Account 401k (5% contribution annually) All bar dues, memberships, and CLEs they need for reporting purposes are paid for by the firm $125 a month cell allowance
