Job Summary
Our client is seeking an experienced Attorney with a background in property damage cases, specifically auto claims. This role will focus on representing body shops and clients who have been underpaid by insurance companies, pursuing the difference between claimed amounts and actual payments. The ideal candidate will have experience with assignment of benefits (AOB) cases and a solid understanding of diminished value claims.
Job Responsibilities: Handle property damage cases, specifically involving automobile claims. Represent body shops in disputes with insurance companies over underpaid claims. Manage assignment of benefit cases to recover unpaid funds for clients. Lead diminished value claims on behalf of car owners who have experienced vehicle depreciation after accidents. Draft legal documents, provide counsel, and attend hearings and trials as necessary. Collaborate with body shop owners and insurance adjusters to resolve disputes. Ensure all legal actions align with state and federal regulations.
Qualifications: JD from an accredited law school and admission to the Florida Bar. 3 years of experience in property damage cases, preferably involving auto claims and insurance disputes. Strong understanding of assignment of benefits (AOB) cases and diminished value claims. Proven ability to negotiate and litigate insurance disputes. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
